Here’s everything you need to know about the unstaking time, associated fees, withdrawal availability, and Babylon Points 👇🏼 Unstaking Time > BTC unstaking on pSTAKE will take up to 11 days. > This includes Babylon’s fixed 7-day unstaking period and a 4-day buffer for optimizing fees on the Bitcoin Network. Associated Fees > There will be fees charged on three different transactions for unstaking BTC. > This includes transactions to unstake on Babylon, withdraw BTC from Babylon, and send BTC back to users. > All fees will be deducted from the user’s withdrawn BTC amount. Withdrawal Availability > Certain product design choices were made to make the withdrawal feature live as soon as possible, in line with community feedback. > This means that Bitcoin Unstaking and Withdrawals will be live on pSTAKE only until the launch of $YBTC (pSTAKE-issued Bitcoin LST). > To give all users sufficient time to withdraw BTC (should they choose to), the YBTC launch will have to be delayed by some time. Babylon Points > User’s Babylon Points (at the time of withdrawal) will be stored to give them the related rewards once/if Babylon values these points. > If you withdraw Bitcoin deposited into pSTAKE, there is no guarantee how that affects your accumulated Babylon Points. The handling of these points is entirely dependent on Babylon’s defined mechanism.
