Honestly, I have no idea why they move the way they do. What I do know is that the real key is just to keep building. Our ecosystem has so much potential, but it’s not going to reach that potential on its own—it needs more components, more effort, and more time to grow. Velodrome on Metal L2 is a decentralized exchange designed for fast, low-cost trading and liquidity opportunities. It combines automated market maker pools with governance incentives, making it easy to earn rewards—especially now that it’s live on Metal L2. As a community, we’re initially focusing our efforts on the vAMM-WETH/MTL pool. This pair is generally less volatile and simpler to manage, making it an ideal place for newcomers to get started. When you provide tokens like WETH and MTL to this liquidity pool, you receive LP tokens representing your share and earn fees whenever traders swap against your pool. On Metal L2, these pools also reward you with xVELO tokens over time. You’re able to bridge your xVELO to Optimism Mainnet and convert it into VELO, the utility token for Velodrome. Alternatively, you can hold on to your xVELO, provide liquidity in the xVELO/WETH pool, or swap it for another asset if a swap is available. Once you have VELO on Optimism, you can lock it to obtain veVELO, which grants you governance powerto vote on how Velodrome’s token emissions are distributed. Quick Update & Clarifications There have been some questions regarding dLP returns and the weekly airdrops outlined in RFP-44, so here’s an update: 1. dLP: The October incident did not impact dLP, which continues to operate as expected. Protocol fees are accruing, and eligible users are earning RDNT emissions as intended. Currently, dLP APR isn’t displaying correctly on the UI for Arbitrum and BNB chains because the revenue management feature isn’t swapping and distributing fees yet. Fees are still accruing in the contract and will be distributed once core markets are relaunched. Arbitrum markets are expected to go live first, followed by BNB. 2. Weekly Airdrops: Weekly airdrops resumed last week but faced a technical issue on Merkl’s end, delaying distribution. Merkl is working to fix this, and a new airdrop campaign is planned for this week, officially restoring the schedule. To ensure all 104 weeks of airdrops as defined by RFP-44, the campaign’s end date will be extended (instead of ending around September 15, 2026, the new end date will be approximately October 27, 2026). AIRDROP STAGE 1 UPDATE: 🧑‍🚀 Dear Community, We were OVERWHELMED by the insane response to our Airdrop Stage 1. So much that we had to close the first round as the pool was depleted. We did however detect a large number of scam and bot entries from Android users. We are currently tallying up all of the bonus round claims and once that is completed, will distribute the iOS participants in the next 24 hours. For Android users, due to the large number of fake responses, we have made an additional step which participants will need to follow to claim their airdrop if they were legitimate participants. This will be done through a new version of the mobile app that will allow a direct claim feature. If you we using a fake account or a bot or an emulator, you won't see this button, but if you submitted your airdrop form and have a legitimate device and account, you will be able to receive your airdrop. It will be distributed approximately a week or so from now for these users. It would be irresponsible use of the community's marketing funds to reward fake accounts, so this will ensure a fair outcome and allow us to do Stage 2 with more peace of mind.

Here’s an overview of what happened, how we responded, and the measures we’re taking to ensure this doesn’t happen again. What Happened On January 3rd, a malicious actor created a replica of Twitter’s website to obtain the account ID, password, and a one-time password (OTP) generated by the 2FA. This access allowed the attacker to: • Log out all other sessions and modify 2FA settings, effectively preventing account recovery. • Set up a mobile passkey to bypass password resets. • Post malicious links promoting a scam token. Account Recovery: By January 6th, we regained full control of the account and implemented immediate security enhancements: • Logged out all sessions and reset credentials. • Established new 2FA measures. • Cleared and reconfigured passkeys. The account is now fully secure. Moving Forward To further strengthen our security, we are taking the following actions: • Mandatory Physical Security Keys: All critical services and team members, including social media accounts, will now require hardware-based security keys • Enhanced Security Training: Our team will undergo comprehensive training to better detect and prevent phishing attacks. • Policy Reassessments: We are thoroughly reviewing and upgrading internal security protocols, with a focus on minimizing vulnerabilities. 🤗We deeply appreciate the swift actions of our community in reporting the malicious activity. Your vigilance helped minimize harm and expedite account recovery. Transparency and security remain our top priorities. We will continue to adapt and improve to protect the Centrifuge ecosystem.
