This is a reminder that following the community’s decision to suspend the network, the network shutdown validator rewards outlined in the governance proposal will conclude on 27th October. After this date, validators will no longer have an incentive to run their nodes and, while they may choose to continue doing so, it is expected that the Vega chain may cease operations at any point from the 27th October. If that happens withdrawals from the Vega bridge may become impossible. Users should ensure all balances are withdrawn from the Vega network, including both the Vega network step and the Ethereum/Arbitrum “completion” step before validator rewards are discontinued. Note that by now all locked rewards earned prior to the suspension of markets on 10th September have unlocked and vested so can be withdrawn at any time.
